Texas Rangers' Prince Fielder likely to have season-ending neck surgery

ARLINGTON, TX- Prince Fielder received a second opinion on the herniated disks in his neck on Monday and it was recommended that the slugger get season-ending surgery.

This is the second time in three years Prince has received this surgery. General manager Jon Daniels confirmed the news.

Fielder had this surgery two years ago and has been experiencing the same symptoms of discomfort and weakness in his neck and left arm.

In 89 games, Fielder hit a career-low .212 with Eight home runs and 44 RBIs.
