One of the 17 people arrested in April 2015 after authorities broke up a cockfighting ring in Huntington accepted a plea bargain deal of five years of probation Tuesday.
Raymond Glenn Jones, 38, of Huntington, appeared in Judge Bob Inselmann’s 217th Judicial District Court for a plea hearing. As part of the plea deal, he pleaded guilty to charges of engaging in organized criminal activity and participating in earnings from a cockfight.
Back in April, authorities arrested 17 people at a Huntington property. They also seized cockfighting paraphernalia and more than 300 birds.
