HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Multiple Law enforcement agencies are urging people in the Grapeland/Crockett area to be on the lookout for a man wanted for murder out of the Houston metro area.

According to CID Michael Martin of the Texas Department of Public Safety in Houston, Gerald Green, 39 of New Caney is believed to have fled to the area after he allegedly murdered 41-year-old Alice Jeanette  Lee by dragging her with his vehicle in Humble.

"After an interview we believe he went to a property he has in the area around Grapeland," Martin said. "Because he is desperate and his mental state we believe he is dangerous."

Martin said Green is known to have a gun on him.

Martin said Green is possibly driving a 2015 Dodge Ram that has a missing rear bumper. The Ram is white and has a license plate number of DNP359.

"We do not want people to try and apprehend him,"Martin said. "He is dangerous."

Martin said If you see Green, you should contact the Houston County Sheriff’s Office at (936) 544-2862, the Crockett Police Department at (936) 544-2121 or Crime Stoppers at (936) 545-TIPS.
