An East Texas company is hosting a job fair designed for fans of the Pokémon Go smartphone game.
Etech, a customer contact and support company, is looking to hire about 100 new employees by attracting applicants with the opportunity for Pokémon captures. Applicants will be able to meet up to play the game and potentially leave with a new job.
"We know a lot of our students, as far as our college-age, they're really big into the Pokémon Go," said Etech recruiter Chad Warner. "You know, we start out [employees] in our college-age, college freshman area, around 18 [years old], but we also go up to 50, 60. Everybody is getting involved. We actually have an employee that's 65. She's loving it."
The job fair is Wednesday from Noon to 3 p.m. at Etech's Nacogdoches location at 903 Berry Drive.
NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Applicants are encouraged to apply online before arriving to help speed up the process.
