HUDSON, TX (KTRE) -

The Hudson Volunteer Fire Department held regional search and rescue exercises to evaluate team members.

Different search scenarios were set up for dispatch teams that didn’t know where the subject was or what kind of condition they were in.

The exercise is meant to test and evaluate the ability of different teams and agencies, work together and realize what their strengths and weaknesses are.

“It makes you feel really good,” search and rescue member, Jeanie Miles said. “You know that you’re improving yourself, you know that you’re doing something worthwhile for the community.”

Search and rescue teams from Denton, Woodville, and Henderson also participated in these exercises on Saturday and Sunday.
