DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - Diboll City Attorney Jimmy Cassels said no action will be taken tonight on Diboll City Manager Gerry Boren after a one hour executive session.
The executive session took place as the only item of business on the special called meeting by city council. The meeting was called last week to discuss allegations made by a city employee against Boren. On June 21, Cassels confirmed that the city was looking into allegations against a city employee but would not confirm it was Boren.
In the session, council members looked over a report by Nacogdoches attorney Kelli Karczewski. Cassels said she was brought in because she has experience in these types of investigations.
"The same agenda items will be on next weeks council meeting," Cassels said. "That will give council members time to digest what they heard and be in a position to discuss it and hopefully make a decision at that time."
Boren did not come back into the council chambers when the announcement was made.
