OXNARD, CA (KTRE) - Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Kellen Moore broke his right leg in practice Tuesday night. ESPN is reporting Moore broke his fibula.
The injury puts even more pressure on injury prone starter Tony Romo who is entering his 14th season at 36-years-old.
Moore's injury happened towards the end of practice when guard Jared Smith pushed Lawrence Okoye. The defensive linemen then stepped on Moore's ankle after he took the snap. He was able to limp off the field, where he was later carted to the locker room with a splint on his leg.
Moore got X-rays at a local hospital. There is no timetable for his return, but Moore will be out for a significant amount of time.
