Affidavit: Zavalla man sexually assaulted 14-year-old boy

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office arrested a 20-year-old man Wednesday in connection to allegations that he had an ongoing sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.

Austin Jacob McGee Husband, of Zavalla, is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on a second-degree felony sexual assault of a child charge. No bail amount has been set at this time.

According to the arrest affidavit, the alleged victim's father made the initial outcry to an Angelina County Sheriff's Office investigator on Monday. The father told the ACSO investigator that his son had been sexually assaulted by Husband, the affidavit stated.

The alleged victim and his brother were both interviewed at Harold's House the next day. During the interview, the alleged victim said that he met Husband through his brother, and the two of them began texting each other.

The boy told the interviewer that Husband started sending him messages via phone text and Facebook that made him believe that Husband wanted more than a friendship, the affidavit stated.

Because Husband wanted to meet with the alleged victim alone, they planned a meeting for July 31 at about 1 a.m., the affidavit stated. When Husband met the boy, he allegedly took him into a camper located at Husband's house on Barge Road in Zavalla.

While they were in the camper, Husband started kissing the boy, the affidavit stated. Then he allegedly took the boy's pants off. Once both of them had taken their clothes off, they had sexual intercourse, the affidavit stated.

At that point, Husband took the alleged victim back to his home.

Then on Sunday, Husband went to the boy's house at about 1 a.m. The alleged victim followed Husband to his car, and Husband started kissing him again, the affidavit stated. Husband and the boy then performed sexual acts on each other.

According to the affidavit, Husband and the boy exchanged digital nude photos with each other.

During the interview, the alleged victim and his brother described Husband as a "martial arts" expert who was knowledgeable in the use of bladed weapons, the affidavit stated. The alleged victim also told the interviewer that he fears for his family's well-being because, in the past, Husband has said he could "make someone disappear" if he wanted to, the affidavit stated.

Husband also allegedly told the boy that he could "live on the lam" if he needed to, the affidavit stated.

When a sexual assault examination was performed on the alleged victim, the nurse found evidence of sexual intercourse.

According to Section 22.011 of the Texas Criminal Code, the felony charge of sexual assault of a child defines a child as any person under the age of 17.
