National Cowboy Symposium presents Wild West Day for students

The National Cowboy Symposium and Celebration will host the educational Wild West Day in conjunction with the 28th annual event.

Wild West Day for students will be Friday, September 9 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center with two sessions starting at 9:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. in the Civic Center Banquet Hall.

The educational information presented at Wild West Day targets elementary, junior high and high school students and will consist of sessions to entertain and educate students about the history, traditions and heritage of the American West.  Stations will include Native American traditions, an infantry demonstration by volunteers from Fort Concho, cowboy poetry, music, and more.
