CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - A jury has sentenced a Crockett man to five years in prison after finding him guilty of robbing a Houston County convenience store on separate days last January.

The jury found Taylor Matar, 22, of Spring, guilty of first-degree aggravated robbery and sentenced him on Wednesday.

Matar and Landon Murdoch, 19, of Montgomery, robbed the Austonio Stop store in January 2015 and robbed it again three days later.

Murdoch pleaded guilty to the charge in June, accepting a 20-year prison sentence.
