Judge sets bond for Etoile man accused in sex assault of 6-year-old at $100k

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A justice of the peace has set the bond for an Etoile man accused of sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl at $100,000.

Apodaca was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on Wednesday and Judge Dorothy Tigner-Thompson set the bail on Thursday.

Crockett police arrested Apodaca on Monday.

According to an arrest affidavit, the child described to family members and investigators how Apodaca sexually assaulted her.

Nacogdoches County sheriff’s deputies started tracking Apodaca on Facebook Monday night. Using an alias, deputies were able to make contact with Apodaca and learned that he was in Crockett.
