POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office have arrested a Livingston man accused of assaulting his grandmother earlier this week.

Thorn Allen Kinser, 24, is charged with third-degree injury to elderly.

According to an arrest affidavit, a deputy met with a 65-year-old woman at the sheriff's office on Wednesday. The woman said her grandson had struck her with an extension cord on the leg while jerking the plug out of the wall out of anger. She said he then grabbed her and pushed her against the wall while yelling at her.

The affidavit states the woman's visible injuries were consistent with her story.

The investigator obtained a warrant for Kinser's arrest on Wednesday and he was arrested the same day. He is being held on a $10,000 bond.
