Nacogdoches native one of 4 arrested during A&M death investigation

COLLEGE STATION, TX (KTRE) - A former Nacogdoches man is one of four who were arrested on drug charges following the death of a Sigma Nu fraternity member at Texas A&M.

Samuel Crawford Patterson, 21, of College Station, is charged with two counts of state-jail felony possession of a controlled substance. According to, Patterson is accused of having fewer than 20 units of LSD and less than one gram of MDMA.

The arrest of Patterson and three others came after College Station police served a search warrant at the house, according to The Eagle.

Police are investigating the death of Anton Grenev,19, of Frisco. Officers responded to the Sigma Nu house at 4:40 a.m. Saturday and reported finding Gridnev unconscious and not breathing, according to The Eagle. He later died at a College Station hospital.

The Eagle reports police are continuing to investigate the death and the drug case.
