LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Authorities in Angelina County are searching for a man who is wanted on a warrant for first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child.
According to a press release from Deep East Texas Crime Stoppers, law enforcement agencies in the area are asking for the public's help in finding Arnoldo Navarro Castro, 49. Castro has been a resident of the Lufkin area for several years.
"Castro was the subject of an Angelina County Sheriff's Office investigation that revealed he had continuously sexually abused a child over a period of approximately four years. September 07, 2016, a judge issued a warrant for Castro's arrest for the first degree felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
Castro has prior arrests in Angelina County for criminal trespass and possession of a forged government document, the press release stated.
"Investigators believe Castro was living on Scotty Beard Road in Angelina County but he has not been seen at that address for weeks," the press release stated. "Castro has worked in the building trades as a laborer and is not known to own a vehicle."
Castro is described as being 5-feet-7 inches tall, and he weighs about 170 pounds. He has large tattoos on the bicep and shoulder of both arms, and he has a vertical surgical scar on his stomach.
According to the press release, the warrant information was correct and current when the press release was sent out. Citizens are cautioned to never try to apprehend a suspect themselves because doing could be dangerous. Crime Stoppers will not pay a reward to anyone who tries to apprehend a suspect on their own.

The press release also stated that Deep East Texas Crime Stoppers only pays rewards for anonymous tips submitted directly to Crime Stoppers and that involve information not previously provided to or known by law enforcement.
