CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A deputy with the Cherokee County sheriff's Office arrested a 38-year-old man last week in connection to allegations that he got into a fight with his 65-year-old father and pushed him down, causing swelling to his knee and a scrape on his elbow.
Jabe Wyley Dunn, of Alto, was arrested and charged with state-jail felony injury to the elderly, according to the probable cause affidavit for his arrest on Sept. 8. East Texas News obtained a copy of the probable cause affidavit Wednesday.
According to the affidavit, the CCSO deputy was dispatched out in regard to a 911 call about a fight in progress at a building in the 1300 block of US Highway 69 South in Wells. When the deputy arrived on the scene, he was met by Dunn, who was staying in the building.
Dunn told the deputy that he had gotten into an argument with his father and pushed past the older man, knocking him down, the affidavit stated. Dunn's father hit his knee and elbow when he fell.
Dunn was arrested at the scene and taken to the Cherokee County Jail.
