Silent auction at Nacogdoches team roping event will benefit King, Adkinson families

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A team roping competition scheduled for Saturday at the Nacogdoches County Exposition Center will feature a silent auction that will benefit the King and Adkinson families.

Tragedy struck the King and Adkinson families on Aug. 16. During a family vacation in Colorado, Christopher Ryan King, 33, and his brother-in-law Bryson Kyle Adkinson, 26, both of Nacogdoches, were killed in an ATV wreck that occurred during a family vacation in Colorado.

Bryson Adkinson’s parents, Lanita Box Adkinson, 51, and Gary Lynn Adkinson, 53, both of Garrison, were injured in the accident. King was a pastor at the Holly Springs Baptist Church.

All of the proceeds from the silent auction will go to the King and Adkinson families.

The silent action will include a bed spray liner from Mike Perry Dodge, a deer feeder from Garrison Hardware, a pair of Wiley X sunglasses from M&S Pharmacy, a $100 gift card from Julia Hair Salon, a diaper bag from Polka Dots, a John Hart duffel bag from Macy May’s, a Ruger LCP .380 in muddy girl camo pink, a full face with lashes makeover from Amy Atherton, a CA jewel necklace from Sparkle Boutique, a hour and a half photo session from Watson Photography, a color, cut, and blow dry from urban Bar B Salon, a Mary Kay makeup and hair product basket and a pedicure from New Image Day Spa, baby guilt from Sherry Keys, a purse from Merle Norman, jewelry from Rhinestone Rifles, a Moreman knife from Danny Casper, a family block set, cross block, and $50 gift certificate from U Name It Blocks and Signs, and a $20 gift card from Shelley’s Deli.

BO for the team roping competition will start at 8 a.m. and continue through 9 :30 a.m. Saturday. The team roping competition will start at 10 a.m.
