ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - After Angelina County Sheriff's Office detectives and a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper made an overnight arrest, ACSO investigators have cleared six vehicle burglaries and at least two building burglaries.
Justin Storme Jones, 22, of Lufkin, is still being held in the Angelina County jail on a state-jail felony evading arrest with a vehicle charge, a state-jail felony burglary of a building charge, and a Class A felony burglary of a vehicle charge. His bail amount has been set at $1,500 for the burglary of a vehicle charge.
Jones was booked into the county jail Monday morning.
According to a post on Angelina County Sheriff' Greg Sanches' Facebook page, ACSO detectives are continuing to investigate a rash of vehicle burglaries which occurred over the weekend in the area of FM 1194 and the Idlewood subdivision.
The post said that more charges, including credit/debit card abuse, are pending.
"Law enforcement officials are asking that Angelina County residents lock their vehicles, remove valuables, and record the serial numbers of their property."
