TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Trinity County Sheriff's Office arrested a 29-year-old man Monday in connection to allegations that he pulled a pocket knife on a woman who caught him pouring scalding water on her plants and tried to escort him off of her property.
Michael Scott Johnson, of Houston, is still being held in the Trinity Police Department's jail on a felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.
According to a report from the Trinity County Sheriff's Office report, Johnson's sister was staying with a couple who own their own sheet metal business. The couple didn't want Johnson visiting his sister or coming to their property.
The wife came home and noticed Johnson's pickup. She found Johnson pouring scalding water on their plants, the report stated.
When the woman tried to escort Johnson to his truck, he allegedly pulled out a pocket knife and brandished it in a threatening manner. The woman jerked away and managed to take the knife from Johnson.
Johnson fled the premises when the woman's husband came outside with a gun.
