LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A friendly and active pooch is looking for her forever home.
This 2-year-old basset hound mix is one of the hidden gems in East Texas. Her name is Pearl.
Pearl is a playful and lovable pooch who loves a good belly rub.
She can fit in with any type of family.
"She does well with kids," Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter Director, Aaron Ramsey said. "She is very sweet-natured and loves the attention. She really can fit in with anybody."
Like true gems, Pearl is pretty unique.
"She has brindle on all four of her legs," Ramsey said.
In fact, Pearl's adaptation fee has been lowered to $30 to help her find a forever home.
"We're doing a special at the shelter right now for dogs that are black in color," Ramsey said. "That includes spay, neuter, and the shots as well. It also includes a free wellness checkup."
If you're interested in adopting Pearl, contact the Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter in Lufkin at (936) 633-0218.
They're open Monday to Saturday and are closed on Sundays.
