Chicago, Illinois- Thomas Walkup announced on Thursday that he signed his first NBA contract with the Chicago Bulls. The former SFA Lumberjack said he will start working out at the Bulls training camp starting on Monday.
Walkup announced the news in an Instagram saying, "Signed my first NBA contract today. So many people that helped me get to this point. Chicago Bulls training camp starting Monday!"
Walkup has until October 24th to make the Bull's final roster cut.
Since leaving the SFA men's basketball program as the winningest player in program history in March, Walkup played in the NBA's Summer League under the Golden State Warriors.
Walkup helped guide SFA to three consecutive NCAA Appearances and won four Southland Conference championships.
