NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A 36-year-old man was booked into the county jail Thursday after a Nacogdoches grand jury indicted him in connection to allegations that he assaulted a jailer and injured a disabled man on July 4.

Rodricus Lywon Polley, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County jail on two third-degree felony charges – assault of a public servant and injury to a disabled person. Collectively, his bail amount has been set at $50,000.

According to the text of the injury to a disabled person indictment, Polley used his hand to hit the disabled man, and he pulled on a bag that was on the man’s person. He also allegedly punched a jailer.
