Small Town Hospital, Big Honor

Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin has been named 'Best Nursing Team in Texas and Louisiana' by Advance for Nurses magazine.

The hospital beat 40 other nursing staffs in both states.

State Representative Jim McReynolds' office presented a Texas flag to the award-winning nurses Monday.  May 9th, 2005 was also proclaimed 'Woodland Heights Nursing Team Day' in Texas.

Woodland Heights is also the cover story of Advance for Nurses magazine.  More than 30 of the hospital's 250 nurses are featured on the front of the national publication.
