Nacogdoches PD: Loud music complaint leads to felony drug arrest

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department arrested a 20-year-old man on drug charges after they went to check out a loud music complaint early Tuesday morning and allegedly found him to be in possession of Ecstasy and marijuana.

Jaquavian Jamal Snyder, 20, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a first-degree felony manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance charge and a Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge. No bail amount has been set at this time.

According to the Nacogdoches Police Department’s daily activity report, an NPD officer went to check out a report of a person in a vehicle playing loud music in a vehicle in the 1400 block of North Street at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

After the officers made contact with the people in the vehicle, they established probable cause and searched the vehicle. The search of the vehicle revealed Ecstasy and marijuana.
