Spring Tour Of Bed And Breakfasts Held In Nacogdoches

by Stuart Burson

This week is National Tourism Week... a week designed to give communities all over the country a chance to show off what they have to offer.

Nacogdoches is no exception.

Tuesday evening the city held a spring tour of the area's bed and breakfasts. Organizers call the tour a chance to show off what's in our own backyard.

"This is the first time we've done this tour, we're really excited about it. We have some wonderful bed and breakfasts in Nacogdoches, so this gives us an opportunity to show visitors and our local community what we have to offer." said Sherri Skeeters with the Nacogdoches Visitors and Convention Bureau.

The city of Nacogdoches collects about 48 million dollars annually from tourism.

Money raised during this spring tour will go to help with renovation work at the visitor's bureau.
