ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A 22-year-old woman and her 2-year-old passenger were taken to a Lufkin hospital for treatment of possible injuries following a two-vehicle wreck that occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 69 and FM 326 early Friday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Texas Department of Safety, the accident occurred at about noon Friday. The preliminary accident report shows that Meagan Dykes, of Zavalla, failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign at the intersection of FM 326 and U.S. 69 and her 2014 Toyota SUV collided with a 2004 Chevrolet pickup driven by Truitt Miller, 81, of Lufkin.

Dykes and her passenger were taken to CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial for treatment of possible injuries. The press released stated that Miller was not injured in the wreck.

The two-vehicle collision is still under investigation.
