ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - One person is dead after a four-vehicle wreck in Angelina County on Friday night, according to DPS.
The accident happened at State Highway 103 East near Watson-Loggins Lane around 6 p.m. Friday night.
DPS Trooper David Flowers said a 18-wheeler driver was turning left into into the left lane going westbound on 103 East when a tractor trailer slammed on the breaks.
That caused a black Chevy truck behind the 18-wheeler to lock their breaks and cross into oncoming traffic. The black truck collided with a grey Toyota Tacoma going eastbound on 103 East.
Flowers said the Toyota Tacoma flipped at least once into a ditch. The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.
The occupants of the black Chevy truck were minors and uninjured. No names available at this time.
