Identity of officer involved in Trinity County shooting revealed

GROVETON, TX (KTRE) -  The Trinity County Sheriff's Office has revealed the identity of the officer  who shot and killed a man in connection to an altercation the man was having with a woman in Groveton.

The officer that was reported to have been involved with the shooting on Friday morning was Sheriff Woody Wallace.

The man that was shot has been identified as Clayton Baker, 38, Of Willis, TX. The Texas Rangers were timely requested by the Sheriff's Office to investigate and are currently on the scene conducting their investigation.
