NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Stephen F. Austin instructor Seth Wilson has been on quite the winning streak having just won his 10th game of Jeopardy in a row.
His last win put his total earnings at $209,801.
"I thought if I got really lucky I might win one game, and then to have made it through two whole taping days is unbelievable." Wilson said.
The attention and support Wilson has received has been increasing more with each win, but there's one special person who's been his foundation of support since the beginning of this journey.
Wilson's girlfriend Stephanie Murphy said that it's always been a dream of his.
"It didn't surprise me it was something that he had talked about a few times. We had been friends for a long time before we started dating and Seth had always mentioned it was something that he had wanted to do."Murphy said.
She knew he had what it takes to be on the show, but she never saw expected this.
Murphy "I thought you know I hope he really wins one because it would really make his year if he wins one and he could walk away with one win but he blew away my expectations and everybody else's." Murphy said.
The couple just recently moved from Chicago to Nacogdoches where they both landed jobs at SFA.
"It's been really great to be able to work at the same place that she does and to have that time." Wilson said.
And as for what these winnings mean for their future.
"A lot of possibilities just opened up for us" Murphy said.
Seth Wilson will go for his 11th consecutive Jeopardy win next Monday and is expected to return for the tournament of champions in the fall.
