Lufkin woman dies 1 day after 1-vehicle rollover wreck on FM 326

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A 50-year-old Lufkin woman who was injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident on FM 326 Saturday afternoon died at a Houston hospital Sunday.

According to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the woman has been identified as Linda Maness.

Angelina County DPS troopers responded to a 911 call about the crash at about 2:15 p.m. Saturday. The preliminary crash investigation indicates that Maness was driving a 1992 Ford SUV north on FM 326 when she left the road to the right, the press release stated.

Maness overcorrected, and she was ejected when her SUV rolled over.

Maness was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, and she was pronounced dead at 6:24 p.m. Sunday.
The wreck is still under investigation.
