LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Officers with the Lufkin Police Department arrested a 23-year-old woman early Tuesday morning in connection to allegations that she got mad at her roommate for putting his hands on her and stabbed him in the back.
The woman allegedly left the knife in the victim, and he was the one that pulled it out, according to the Lufkin Police Department's daily activity report.
Tamisha Chey'Niece Drake, of Lufkin, is still being held in the Angelina County jail on a first-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. No bail amount has been set at this time.
According to the Lufkin Police Department's daily activity report, the stabbing occurred at a home in the 900 block of Chestnut Street at about 1:28 a.m. Tuesday. When Lufkin PD officers arrived on the scene, they learned that Drake had stabbed her roommate in the back after an argument, the report stated.
Drake reportedly told officers that her roommate asked her to leave the apartment, but she didn't hear him because she had her headphones in her ears.
"She said he then 'put his hands on' her and dragged her out of the apartment," the report stated.
Once they were outside, Drake's roommate started arguing with their neighbors. While he had his back turned, Drake stabbed him in the back with a knife she had seen lying on the ground, the report stated.
Drake told the Lufkin PD officers that the knife stayed in her roommate until he pulled it out, the report stated. She allegedly told the officers that she stabbed her roommate because she wanted revenge for him putting his hands on her.
