Pilot Says It's Hard These Days To "Get Lost" In An Airplane

The pilot of an airplane that ventured into Washington DC restricted airspace says he and his student pilot simply got lost.

But one local pilot we spoke with says if a pilot is paying attention, that's really no excuse.

"If they were going cross country, it was just poor pre-planning. And if they were out for just a little flight around the territory it was still very poor judgment, because they should have known it was there." says pilot Bob Dunn.

Even small plane pilots these days have navigational aids like GPS to help keep them on their intended flight path.
