LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Saturday sky above Angelina County will be full of planes doing loops, flips and corkscrews in an effort to bring toys to needy children.
After a successful first year, the Angelina County Airfest will be back at the Angelina County Airport on Oct. 7. The event is put on by the Angelina County marine Corps League that handles the Toys for Tots campaign in Angelina and Trinity Counties.
The event will feature the famed Skip Stewart and Matt Younkin, as well as Adam Baker, Jeremy Holt, Kate Kyer, and Paul Fiala. We are also proud to welcome back renound announcer, Ralph Royce. People will also be able to meet the pilots. Gates will open for the event at 9 a.m.
"We had a great crowd, great time, great weather," Adam Baker said. "We knew when we got the call that they wanted us to come back that it was a no brainier that we would come back and have fun, especially for a benefit show for Toys For Tots."
Ages 12 and up: $12 each
Ages 6-11: $8 each
Seniors (65 and up) and Military: $8 each
Ages 5 and under are FREE
There will be a shuttle running from Angelina College for the event to help with parking.
