Car enthusiasts will want to be in the Angelina Village parking lot Saturday morning.
Hospice in the Pines will be hosting their 4th Annual Benefit Auto Show. The proceeds raised at the event will go to the Joe W. Elliot House, which offers affordable housing for patients and their families that travel to Lufkin for medical treatment.
"It's for patients and families traveling to Lufkin for medical treatment or services," said Hospice of the Pines Administrative Director Napoleon Shaw. "Of course, they don't have to utilize hospice in order to use it, and it is really a great godsend and hidden jewel in our community. It only cost $25 a night, so it is great for those in need."
The car show will kick off at 8 a.m. on October 15 with check in. Prizes will be handed out for best in show, best interior, best engine, and best paint as well as awards for various classes.
The event is also being supported by the East Texas Corvette Club. For more information on how to participate, call (936) 632-1514.
