LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Officers with the Lufkin Police Department arrested a 57-year-old woman Thursday evening after she allegedly punched her 82-year-old father in the head multiple times, knocked him off a porch, and then jumped on him with both feet.
Karen Renee Hopson, of Lufkin, is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on a third-degree felony injury to the elderly charge. Her bail amount has been set at $10,000.
According to the Lufkin Police Department's daily activity report, Hopson punched her father in the head six times before she knocked him off a stool, causing him to fall off a porch of a home in the 400 block of Homer Blvd. Then she allegedly jumped off the porch and landed on him with both feet before she walked away.
A Lufkin PD officer found the man bleeding on his arms and right shoulder, the activity report stated. A knot was already forming on his head, and a large knot or a dislocated bone was obvious on his back.
