NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - The sale of an industrial park, renovation of a nuisance property, a new furniture store, and the anticipated construction of a Chipotle Mexican Grill are all projects the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation watched closely in 2016.
The economic update was presented Tuesday at NEDCO's annual meeting. Officers reported the organization is in sound financial shape and site selectors continue viewing properties.
Tracye McDaniel, the guest speaker and CEO of the Texas Economic Development Corporation's Texas One Program, says this kind of development will lead to a robust year for Texas.
"You may see opportunities at this point of small and mid-size companies to start expanding or even entrepreneurs to look into the market," McDaniel said. "This is the time of the year that happens and then you are able to launch at the first of the year."
