NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches police have arrested a Nacogdoches man accused of robbing a convenience store on East Main Street earlier this month.

Monty Montel Williams, 23, is charged with first-degree aggravated robbery.

According to an arrest affidavit, a store clerk at 5000 East Main Street said Williams held up a sharp object and told her to give him the money from the cash register. She said he threatened to stab her if the clerk did not give him the surveillance video. However, Williams left with money but not the video.

The police investigator said he was able to identify Williams as the suspect by looking at surveillance video and the clerk identified Williams through a photographic lineup.

The investigator obtained a warrant for Williams' arrest on Oct. 12. He was arrested on Monday.
