SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Shelby County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a missing 18-year-old woman.
Christina Tarver, of Center, was last seen at about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 10. According to a press release from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, Tarver's mother received a Facebook message from her daughter at 4:30 a.m. on the same day that said she had left with friends. In the message, Tarver also told her mother not to worry.

"Numerous attempts by Deputy Jim Ed Matthews to contact friends of Tarver have not revealed any new information on her whereabouts," the press release stated.
Tarver is described as being 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds. She has hazel eyes and dirty blond hair. She has freckles on her face and nose, and she has tattoos on her right shoulder.
"The Shelby County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers are actively investigating this case," the press release stated. "Anyone with any information on Tarver is asked to contact the Shelby County Sheriff's Office at (936) 598-5601."
