FRISCO, Texas (Press Release) – Stephen F. Austin’s 2016 Homecoming game against Central Arkansas on Saturday, November 5th will be televised nationally on the American Sports Network, announced today by the Southland Conference office.
Due to the television coverage, SFA’s game against Central Arkansas will kickoff 30 minutes earlier, getting underway at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th.
The broadcast marks the American Sports Network’s first visit to Homer Bryce Stadium and the fifth time the Lumberjacks will play on the Network since the agreement with the conference was reached prior to the 2015 season.
The local affiliate for ASN is KTPN (The Z) out of Tyler-Longview, airing on Suddenlink channels 9 (SD) and 109 (HD), as well as over-the-air on channels 47.1 and 51.2. The game will also stream online at Southland.org/Live. Due to the contract between the conference and ASN, the game will not be streamed at ESPN3.
SFA returns from its bye week and heads back on the road, traveling to San Antonio for the first time in program history. The Lumberjacks will face Southland Conference newcomer Incarnate Word Saturday at 6 p.m. at Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium.
