NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department have made an arrest in connection to a shooting incident that occurred at the A.S.D. Lounge in the 600 block of Old Tyler Road on Oct. 30 that resulted in injuries to three people.
Gebronze Monta Pleasant Jr., 17, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a second-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. No bail amount has been set yet.
According to the arrest affidavit a Nacogdoches PD officer responded to the A.S.D. Lounge in reference to a 911 call about multiple gunshot victims.
When NPD officers arrived on the scene, they found one victim with multiple gunshot wounds in the street. They also learned that two other victims had been taken to a Nacogdoches hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Later, a Nacogdoches PD officer spoke to one of the victims at the hospital, and the man said that he was at a party at the club when he spotted a juvenile he had an altercation with earlier that night walking toward him.
When a Nacogdoches PD detective did a follow up interview with the victim, he said that he remembers Pleasant and the juvenile suspect walking towards him, pulling out guns, and firing at him, the affidavit stated. The man was hit in the leg.
The victim identified Pleasant and the juvenile from Facebook photos, the affidavit stated.
The Nacogdoches Police Department identified the victims as JaMichael Tanner, Jdrian Holcomb, and Breanne Pereles.
Tanner was admitted into a Nacogdoches hospital and has been released, according to a previous East Texas News story. In a video posted publicly on his Facebook page, Tanner said he appreciated all the prayers and support and said he is recovering from a gunshot wound to the knee. He said he cannot believe something like this could happen in Nacogdoches.
"I never would have thought shots fired, not in Nacogdoches anyway," Tanner said in the video. "I still don't even know what happened I was just walking to my car trying to leave when I heard the gunshots."
Tanner said chaos broke out following the shots, and he doesn't remember getting shot in the knee.
Police said Jdrian Holcomb is in stable condition at a Nacogdoches hospital. The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time. The third victim was identified as 20-year-old Breanne Pereles who was transported to a Tyler hospital where she is recovering from her injuries. Police said her condition is stable as well.
