Star Wars Fans Can't Wait To See Latest Movie

It's mid-afternoon on Wednesday in front of the movie theater in Nacogdoches. And there are people already in line for a movie that's not even showing until midnight. It can only be one thing... Star Wars.

"I've always wanted to see a movie at midnight, and this is the last Star Wars episode that's going to come out as far as I know, so I just wanted to come out here and hang out with people." says Deryk Jones.

So why would anyone want to camp out at a theater hours on end to watch a movie?

"Darth Vader. Just Darth Vader. Anakin Skywalker turning into Darth Vader, it's going to be awesome." says Shane Frederick, who says he's been in line since Tuesday.

Just about everywhere you go, you can't help but run into something with Star Wars on it. From toys to games... DVD's, and even Pop Tarts.

After 28 years, the Star Wars characters are as popular as ever.

"It's a story, you identify with these characters, you identify with these folks and you care about the people on the screen. And the special effects just adds to it and it blows you away. Definitely with these characters you have the dark side, the Sith, then the Jedi, the light side. And it's good versus evil. We know who to root for. There's no gray areas. We know for sure who's the good guy and who's the bad guy." says Herbert Midgley, and SFA professor who showed up in a full-blown storm trooper suit.

If these fans are any indication, the force will definitely be with Star Wars creator George Lucas and his bank account.
