Huntington woman dies as result of auto-pedestrian collision on FM 326

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A 44-year-old Huntington woman died in an auto-pedestrian wreck that occurred on FM 326 Sunday night.

According to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the woman has been identified as Tammy Sneed. The incident occurred about three and a half miles south of Lufkin on FM 326 at about 9:35 p.m.

The preliminary crash investigation shows that a 2005 Ford SUV driven by Deidre,Paul, 51, of Lufkin, was traveling north on FM 326 when it struck Sneed, who was allegedly walking north in the road.

Sneed was taken to CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial in Lufkin for treatment of her injuries. She was pronounced dead at 11:13 p.m.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.

A Go Fund Me account has been set up to help Sneed's family pay for her cremation expenses.
