NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

There's a new store in Nacogdoches with an exclusive clientele.

It can be found at Nacogdoches High School. It's call SOAR Store. Students who shop there show safety, ownership, accountability, and respect

The incentive program opened Thursday. Students bought everything from snacks to school T-shirts through the point system.

"Students receive a set amount of points depending on what level of grades and attendance they have achieved over the last six-week period, and then they can come into the SOAR Store and spend,” said Stacy Dicks, a marketing education teacher at NHS.

Although it’s not easy to say each time, the concept is expected to keep students on the track for learning.
