ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A few east Texas middle schoolers created a message of hope through art.
After being asked by the Christian Information and Service Center in Lufkin to paint three murals, some Huntington students got busy.
They spent a month creating three works of art. The students chose different scriptures as their inspiration behind each piece.
Their art teacher said her student's work ethic and passion made her proud.
"They worked so hard on this and every single day," Huntington Middle School Art Teacher, Madisyn Berry said. "They came in and they got straight to work. So to see it like this up on the wall, I'm just so proud and I think it looks fantastic."
The murals were revealed Thursday in the produce room at CISC.
Organizers said these murals send a message of hope.
