ARLINGTON, TX- Former Angelina College Roadrunner Andrew Cashner will be returning to his native state after signing a one-year deal with the Texas Rangers on Friday. According to ESPN, the right-hander signed a contract worth $10 million.
The 30-year-old ended last season with a 5.25 ERA in 27 starts and went 5-11 with the San Diego Padres and Miami Marlins.
Cashner is a Conroe native where he graduated from Conroe High School in 2005. He played at Angelina College from 2006-2008 before heading off to Texas Christian University.
