NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department arrested a 27-year-old woman late Thursday night after she allegedly got into an argument with her roommate at a residence in the 1000 block of Wells Street and used a pair of scissors to stab the man in the face.

Britney Nicole Rector, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County jail on a first-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge, a Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge, and a Class Be misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance charge. No bail has been set on her charge yet.

Sgt. Rob Thorne with the Nacogdoches Police Department said Rector got into an argument with her roommate and used a pair of scissors to stab him in the face. According to the NPD’s daily activity report, the incident occurred at about 10 p.m. Thursday.

The report stated that the victim held Rector at the scene until police arrived.

Thorne said both Rector and the victim were taken to a Nacogdoches hospital for treatment of their injuries. Rector was taken to the county jail after she was cleared by hospital staff, Thorne said.
