Water Safety Tips

With temperatures soaring into the 90's lots of East Texans are heading to the water to cool off. With all the swimmers out there experts are reminding everyone to be careful. Many accidents that happen every year on the water can be avoided by taking safety precautions. Here are some tips from the Red Cross. First, be sure to only swim in designated areas. Never swim alone no matter what your age. Always watch children closely. Always use a life vest when in boats. And finally, if you can't swim stay in shallow water close to shore and better yet learn how to swim.
