NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Few would guess Eva McKnight, a Nacogdoches resident, is 105 years old.

Tuesday was Mrs. McKnight's birthday.

The sharp-witted lady viewed pictures of her family party on an iPhone. She said she wouldn't mind having one if she could learn how to use it.

McKnight recalls successfully raising two young boys following the death of her husband in 1952.

She handles life as it is dealt to her.

"The Lord continues to bless me with good things,” McKnight said. “Helps me live through my adversity, and I've had many adversities in life, but he's been right beside me and carried me through all of it."

McKnight never remarried, but she assumed a father's role.

She took both boys on fishing trips, squirrel hunting, and to little league.

McKnight calls her family, including great-great grandchildren, her biggest blessing in life.
