Lufkin man wins $2.5 million top prize with scratch-off lottery ticket

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A 33-year-old Lufkin man won  $2.5 million in the Texas Lottery' scratch-off ticket game 110X The Cash, according to a press release.

Ashley Joseph Watkins bought the scratch-off ticket at he Big's 3813 store located at 1203 South Chestnut Street. Because the store sold the winning ticket to Watkins, its owner is eligible for a $10,000 retailer bonus.

According to the press release, Watkins claimed the third of four prizes worth $2.5 million available in the game. The scrath-off game, 100X The cash offers more than $122.6 million in prizes. The overall odds for winning any prize in the game are 1 in 3.48, including break-even prizes.
