Sabine County grand jury indicts man accused of sexually assaulting girl

SABINE COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Sabine County grand jury indicted a 17-year-old man earlier this month on a felony sexual assault of a child charge.

According to the text of the indictment, Brennan Joseph Cole Bolton, of Hemphill, is accused of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 17 on Oct. 13. Bolton was released from the Sabine County jail after he posted a bail amount of $15,000.

The Sabine County grand jury also indicted Terry Howard Smith Jr., 36, on a state-jail felony criminal mischief charge between $2,500 and $30,000. Smith was released from the jail after the posted a bail amount of $2,500.

The text of Smith’s indictment stated that Smith “intentionally and knowingly” damaged property by opening water faucets at a property without the owner’s permission on Oct. 27 and allowing the water to run onto the ground until the faucets were turned off.
