SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - An auto-pedestrian crash on FM 83 near Broaddus Sunday night claimed the life of a 35-year-old man, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS investigators are still looking for the driver of the vehicle that was allegedly involved in the wreck.
A press release identified the man who was killed as David Neal Jacks, of Broaddus.
The auto-pedestrian crash occurred Sunday at about 7:21 p.m. about three miles east of Broaddus on FM 83. A passing motorist notified law enforcement of the apparent crash, according to the preliminary crash investigation.
"Investigators continue to investigate the collision and are working to locate the vehicle and identify the operator," the press release stated.
